Facilitating Change Series
What You’ll Learn in this Series
During this interactive coaching series, you will learn how to use positive psychology and personal change concepts to navigate life transitions. There is an arc to major transitions and this course will help you find your unique arc or path. You’ll find change easier and you’ll take steps to move confidently through your transition with a sense of pride, grace and gratitude.
If you’re experiencing one of the following life changes this series will be particularly helpful:
- Job change/job loss
- Return to paid work following mommy or daddy track
- National or International Relocation
- Late career change
- Retirement; semi retirement and Third Chapter living
How the Series Works
The series is comprised of three 90-minute individual coaching sessions. The timing and pacing of the sessions will be established according to your needs and schedule. Ideally the sessions will be evenly spaced and concluded within a three-month period. Sessions will be held by phone or Zoom until the pandemic is resolved at which time they may be held in person.
SESSION #1:
The Change in the Context of You and Your Life
Whether the change is voluntary or involuntary, it is important to look at the change in the context of you and your life thus far. During this session, you will consider your core values, signature strengths and vision for your life. This will boost your energy and enable you to link your personal goals to the change. You will also identify strategies to find the personal support you require during change.
SESSION #2:
Setting a Course for Success
We all have beliefs that limit our ability to meet challenges in a positive way. This session will help you uncover beliefs that may be hampering your ability to navigate change. You’ll also learn how to generate personal options within the change, set achievable goals and maintain momentum. This will enable you to become “the captain” of your transition.
SESSION #3
Moving Through the Change to a Resilient Future
Sustaining energy and focus during a major change is very important. In this session, you’ll learn how to stay energetic and focused and deal with setbacks and pushbacks. Working with the values, strengths and supports identified in your first session, you’ll also develop strategies and habits for nurturing your spirit and building your personal resiliency for change.
